Lone Dessunsha

I was born a gorgeous stallion,
A blaze along my face,
My coat was a beautiful bay,
I had an Arabian pace.

I came on a rocking ship,
Premature and weak,
On one stormy night,
Dayana helped me sleep.

I was once kept in a paddock,
Until a man had stolen me,
But Angel, my owner, had come,
And rescued me from the thieves.

Then I was set free,
On the hills of South Dakota,
I went wild and got tamed,
By Shannon O’Connor.

I found myself locked up,
In a stall when I was one,
At the track I was abused,
And I had no more fun.

I’ve been through all those,
Of Shahar, Lone Star, Sundancer,
Now I’m just like Destiny,
Awaiting Sam and Katrina.
