Bareback Jumping (But in My Case, Falling Off)

Loads of videos on YouTube of bareback jumping have made me really jealous, so I decided to try it on quite a fresh horse called Armani. Yes, I know, kind of silly to jump on a fresh horse…

Me and a couple of friends and an instructor (put safety first) tried jumping 4’8. It was my turn and Armani started rearing. It was really fun. He finally stopped and refused. I went flying off and that was fun too!!

Anyway, my point is that falling off is not that bad and if you fall off just laugh it off like HAHAHA. You have to fall off 23 times to call your self a rider. Unfortunately that has already happened to me. :( haha

I will be back with my next blog about riding on the road. Goodbye — enjoy the rest of January!

  1. I get jealous of it too! But I’ve fallen off twice in my two years of riding, once at a show… I laughed so hard… It was a long fall from a huge saddlebred, apparently I forgot to tighten the girth…. I survived very few strides or cantering ;3

  2. eliana that is funny i always foreget to tighten the girth before i ride LOL! itt was funny when i fell off haha

  3. I never fell off a horse but my auntie did . the story is a bit long but anyway here it is .
Well my auntie was riding her horse but something scared the horse so it threw my auntie off and she broke both her legs . She can only walk and never run again or do anything but walk slowly she was in hospitil for a month and in cruches for a year REAL SAD .
    Love Ellahorsefan xxx

  4. Aww thats too bad for your auntie Ellahorsefan all my best wishes to her never be afraid to fall off its what risk comes with horse riding, my horse Spike always spooks;)

  5. that sounds bad last summer my Grandma got trampled on by aunts horse!!!! I felt so bad because I was riding the horse when it was rearing

  6. Iv’e fallen off my horse many time too! LOL. Mostly because i forget to tighten my girth! Once I fell off when i was going over a jump. but your right, its not that bad. Anyways its good to learn from your mistakes!

  7. Ye it is good to learn from your mistakes i loved writing this blog because I could NOT stop laughing looking back at that fall haha Armani has been broken in now hope u guys enjoy it i will hopefully write another blog

  8. The first time I got on a horse and fell was because I forgot to tighten the girth,LOL,as usual.

  9. yeah i have never fallen off but when i was on a horse called alfie i did stumble a bit and the saddle slid off.this is my first time writing a blog so please enjoy it!

  10. ye I have stumbled aswell and alfie is such a cute name. and you have a blog?

I loved writing this blog and this was my 2nd blog that I wrote and we are having another bareback chase me charlie tomorrow but I will ride spike (my pony) who never does any of the stuff that Armani does I still have 4 bruises from this fall :)

  11. Great Blog!!! :) I love it. Please keep writing.

  12. I can totally relate. I’ve fallen off more times then I can count, and it’s very important to just laugh it off and get back on :)
But it’s important to note that not all falls are problem free. If you’re in serious pain and are hurting too bad to get back on board, it’s better to check it out than push your luck by continuing riding. After all, accidents happen.
But great blog! I salute your courage to jump bareback :) I know I’d never have the guts!

  13. @JacksGirl yeah i suppose your right:) not all falls are problem free so.. and thanks wrote some more blogs but not published yet so fingers crossed and I only tried bareback because at that time I thought I could do everything LOL XxxMolly

@Jenny thanks alot all your comments really mean alot to me your so kind, and like I said to JacksGirl I have written a few more blogs but they haven’t been published so keep on the look out:) XxxMolly

Thanks guys will try to reply to all comments but I dont have time after starting proper work at the yard, riding and homework so if I haven’t replied doesn’t mean that I haven’t read it so don’t take offence

Xxx Will try read your blogs Molly&Spike&Gambit

  14. I don’t think I would have the guts to ride bareback while I am Jumping :) I would do a lot of falling off too!
