Bareback Pad

What is a bareback pad? A bareback pad is a lot like a saddle. It is a pad with a girth. Some bareback pads come with stirrups, but I like them more without.
Bareback pads can help you learn to trust your horse. They are really fun to use too. If you like riding bareback, than you should get a bareback pad.
Since Gulliver is old and has a bumpy back I can not ride bareback, but I can with a bareback pad because it offers extra padding. They come in English style and western. I am going to get a western one.
I hope some of you try out this super cool product.

Hey Peanut! Great blog. I have heard of bareback pads but this article brought them to my attention again. I am hopeing to get one in the spring. My horse is older and so I think that a bareback pad would be really good to use with her so that she wouldn’t have to carry so much weight. I also want to ride bareback. (I use a western saddle right now.) Keep up the writing and congrats on becoming a jounior blogger! I will have to tell about when I tried bareback riding once. Maybe I will write a story or blog about it….. =)
I have ridden bareback on a older horse without a bareback pad, and you’re right- it hurt SO bad!!!! Bareback pads sound like a great investment for all horse owners, especially those with older horses.
