Wild at Heart: Mustangs and the Young People Fighting to Save Them

by Terri Farley (Author), Melissa Farlow (Photographer) | Mustangs have thrived for thousands of generations. But now they are under attack from people who see them as pests. The lucky ones are adopted. Some are sent to long-term holding pens; more and more are sold for slaughter. But courageous young people are trying to stop the round-ups and the senseless killings. They are standing up to the government and big business to save these American icons. With eye witness accounts, cutting-edge science, and full-color photographs, Terri Farley and Melissa Farlow invite readers into the world of mustangs in all its beauty, and profile the young people leading the charge to keep horses wild and free.

and peace,

  3. Oh I’m so getting this!!!

  4. Awesome! It sounds amazing!

  5. I SO want it!

  6. I too want to find a way to save the mustangs from slaughter. If horses were free, I take every mustang I saw to take it home, I’d nourish it back to health, and send it to the wild where it belongs! All horses are mah babies! :3 Stop the slaughter. The cows are the pests! You are stealing the mustangs land with the cows! And when I say you, I mean the people who call the mustangs, “pests” when they are the true pests.

  7. Yes I am sooooo wanting to save mustangs from slaughter I can’t believe people what they do in this world.
I would love to stop people I am already starting to give money to the “Save the horses from slaughter” foundation.
No matter what I am going to stop people from hurting horses.

  8. Girls Horse Clubbers are the HOPE wild horses have for a future. Thanks for caring and please use your hearts and heads to keep them safe.
Hugs for everyone of you & kisses for your critters,
    Terri
