Chancey of the Maury River follows the life of Chancey, an albino gelding.

Chancey, who has disabilities, thinks he is doomed to a life in a pasture, until the owner of Maury River Stable buys him.

At his new home, he befriends a young girl named Claire.

Claire and Chancey compete in shows, and though they don’t win very often, Claire still believes in Chancey. He faces many hardship, but with Claire’s help he remains strong.

I really enjoyed reading this book and I hope you”ll read it soon..

  1. I actually did read this book and I loved it so much! It really makes you feel for Chancey like he were real and there were so many twists and turns, I couldn’t put the book down.

Anyway, you did a great job except I would have made it more personal and told why YOU specifically liked it.

  2. mmm I’ll have to look into it! Anything with horses and youve got me interested! lol
    good review

  3. Ahhh, I remember reading this book a few years ago. It was good, and I fell in love with Chancey. (:

I think it would have helped if you put a little more information about Chancey. Like tell us about an event, but don’t give the full synopsis and leave some people on the edge so that they’ll go out and read this book. But it’s a fantastic review.

  4. You’re right horesforever. After I entered it I thought of some things I could have changed, but it’s too late now.

  5. Though it was shorter, I loved your use of words and the way you explained the story. Good work! :] I’d love to read this book!

  6. This is a very nice review that’s short and to the point and it’s great that you’ve noticed possible improvements on your own. As was mentioned by HorsesForever, in future try to include more of your thoughts and opinions as the reader and reviewer. What you liked about the book, why you think it’s worth reading and who you would recommend it to are just some points that reviewers usually write about.

However, you’ve written a great review with so little words and you deserve a pat on the back (or a horsey headbutt) for that :)

  7. Nice review. Maybe you could have added a bit more info, or your own opinions on the book?

In the last sentence the you”ll should have been you’ll

Now I have to go and read the book!

  8. Thanks for all the ideas!
