Dashing down the
shimmering green meadows,
waiting for me
are my good fellows…
by Rey
I look in your eyes before I get on,
Then I swing my leg over
and the riding has begun.
We lope around in circles…
by WhinnyLove
Not knowing much
Too small and helpless
Darkness in the
Strange new world…
by Rey
I look out my window and see her running,
She races herself and dust goes flying.
I smile from my warm desk inside,
And then I know I need to go outside…
by Karli
I see us in my mind’s eye
Give a starting leap, racing by
Galloping to meet the barrel
Living up to our western apparel…
by WhinnyLove
Dying light
Floods the land
As I take on the heavy
Tasks at hand…
by Karli
I look out at the grassy sea
It’s only my horse and me
The smell of grass drying
The sunset sky dying
We sit in the quiet…
by Rey
Life is a mystery,
But on your back,
Everything comes to me.
When we ride…
by WhinnyLove
I see you in my dreams
No saddle or bridle
Dust flying behind you
Dancing away…
by Rey
When I ride, I take freedom,
When I try to fly, I soar.
When we gallop, I hear a bass drum,
When I get off, I want more…
