Dancing Hooves

unbreakable
by bluehorse, age 13

My hooves are dancing,
Flying through the air.
And while I am still prancing
Someone sees me there.

While I frolic in the mist,
Somebody still sees me
And I feel I would be kissed,
If I go where she leads me.

As I whirl through the sky,
The someone sees me glide.
I feel as if she might just die,
If I’m not by her side.

I feel like I am ripped in two,
Torn between two ways.
Still I gallop through the blue
And still I feel her gaze.

My hooves, still dancing, faster glide,
Whirling through the air.
The girl stands off to the side;
My hooves will take me there.

The girl is reaching carefully,
Now stroking my soft nose.
I feel her hand in my long mane,
Now on my back she goes.

We dance across the sky once more,
This young girl and I.
My hooves dance even higher now,
And we begin to fly.
