Goodbye, Pebbles

Hello everyone,
I’m here with a bit of sad news. I was going to write a poem, but I’m terrible at poetry, and I wanted to write something good. So here comes the bad news:
Pebbles recently passed away.
She was a lovely grey Welsh cross, a little nightmare at times. Typical mare; she liked to buck and kick, and throw tantrums. Even though she scared the daylights out of me sometimes, she was still an angel when she felt like it. And it’s just shocking to hear that she’s gone.
Pebbles will always be remembered as our little crazy girl. I remember the last time I saw her, tied up beside Taz and happily napping in the sun. It’s crazy to think that she’s not with us anymore.
So here’s my advice: Don’t take your time for granted. Especially when you’re with your horses. Accidents happen, they get ill easily etc. Cherish every moment you have with the horse you love.
RIP. Pebbles xx
I’m SOO sorry, you probably really loved her.
One day I want to have that kind of friendship with a horse too.
So sorry she sounded pretty.
I’m so sorry. Pebbles sounds like a precious little treasure, and I feel really bad for you. Atleast keep in mind that she is now resting in peace in Heaven, watching over her best friend/soul sister: YOU!
I’m so sorry about pebbles!I would just die if i lost Peppy! One of the mares at my barn Quincy had to be put down this spring.I really miss her.I’m sorry for your loss.

Thanks everyone for the support. It’s still a bit difficult to process, but I’m getting there. I just can’t believe that we’ve lost so many horses so recently – three were sold and now Pebbles is gone. But she’s safe and happy now, up in horse heaven, along with all her friends, like Smarties. So that makes me feel a bit better.

I’m so sorry… :( Horses are beautiful creatures, but they come and go. Too bad they couldn’t live forever. (I guess they kind of can in Eternity {Heaven}, but I’m talking about this life) :)
I’m so sorry! And I know how it feels to lose a horse that you love, even if it isn’t your own. I’m sure you really loved Pebbles.
It’s really comforting knowing she’s in Heaven, even if it’s sad. Again, I’m sorry for you.
