GHC Lyrics Competition: Entry #10

I may come across as strange to you
But then again
You haven’t been
Through the things that I’ve been through
I’ve had falls
I’ve hit walls
But I’ve always managed to get up and get on again
I feel like you laugh at me because I have straw in my hair
But the truth is
I don’t really care
Horses and me
We’re quite a team
We always find a way against the odds
I can be me
I can find a way to
Really be true
To myself and my world
I’m a horse girl
And I’ll never give it up
Of this I’m sure

This is an entry for the GHC Lyrics Competition, the first step in a collaboration to create a theme song for Girls Horse Club. For more details about the competition and how to enter, click here.

  1. That’s a neat set of lyrics! I too often have straw in my hair.. but we also have english and city riders on here. =0) Some horse girls have it nice and proper… i think i should start using those ideas.. =0)

  2. I like it!

  3. I love it! It sounds like it would go nicely with music, also!

  4. I’m continually pulling hay and grass out of my hair, I wonder what the people behind me in church think… lol

I like this one a lot too…. too many decisions! Too many great lyrics! :D

  5. Thanks, everyone! :)

  6. Cool! Thats awesome!

  7. Horsey at Heart, I love these lyrics! You did a great job. Oh the voting will be so hard! All the lyrics are so great. It will be so hard to pick only one! =) Hmm… that last line was a little redundant… Oh well! =)

  8. Really great Horsey at Heart! For the longest time I had no idea who you were. Then I read that you thanked me for introducing you to GHC and I said, ‘Ah! I know who that is!’ Haha.
