Teach Me, Horses

Teach me how to bond with you,
But first, how do I learn?
I’m so clueless and just need your help,
Your respect, how do I earn?

Teach me how to speak with you,
And express my endless love,
Should I pat, cuddle, say you’re great,
Or all of the above?

Teach me how you take what’s hopeless,
Then to it add reality.
Yet how do you make the true things seem,
Like a wondrous fantasy?

Teach me how you stay so strong,
When around they call you weak,
For now I let you pick me up,
With power that’s so meek.

Teach me all your stunning marvels,
How you see me and what you do,
I want to tell you your radiance,
And want to be just like you.

  3. Oh Madelaina that was great! You perfectly described the way one feels when they look at horses, longing not to teach them but to be taught by them. Longing to grasp just a bit of their awesomeness. Great job!
